Lataguri, Chalsa and Nagrakata are the nearest spots which can be explored from the Gorumara park. Gorumara National Park is 1 km from Lataguri, 10 km from Chalsa. The tourists are advised to hire taxis from Chalsa or Lataguri to enter the National Park which are arranged by the Govt., private hotels and Eco-tourism Camps. Tourists can visit Lataguri Nature Interpretation Centre to study the local natural history of the area. Tourists spots of Dooars and lower Kalimpong hills like Chapramari Wild Life Sanctuary, Jaldhaka, Jhalong, Bindu, Paren, Caron, Diana, Jaldapara can also be explored from Gorumara National Park by making base in Murti. One can also visit Phuntsholling at Bhutan which is 3 hours journey from the National Park. Tourists can also visit the nearby forest villages to know the lifestyle and culture of the local villagers. A live show of the ethnic tribal dance can be seen every evening in Budhuram Forest Village. From Gorumara it takes only two hours ride to reach Jaldapara wild life sanctuary which is also located in the dooars.

• Keep the forest clean. Do not throw plastic, paper etc.
• Use of cellophane is prohibited in jungle.
• Do not consume alcohol in the National Park.
• Drive slowly in the specific paths only. Permissible speed is 20 km/hr.
• Hunting, destroy or remove or collect any forest produce or wildlife including Fishing prohibited.
• Never visit the forest with an intention of sighting animals and always remember that you have entered their territory and it is up to them to allow you to see them. Do not disturb the wild animals. Respect the privacy of animals. Watch and observe nature silently.

Gorumara National Park is situated on the bank of rivers Murti and Raidak in the terai region of Dooars on the foothills of Eastern Himalayas. Gorumara is famous for its Asiatic one horned Rhino, Asian Elephants, Bisons, Peacocks. This was a reserve forest since 1895. In the year 1949, the park was declared as Wildlife Sanctuary for its breeding population of one horned Indian Rhinoceros. On January 31, 1994, it was declared as a National Park. The 80 sq. km area of the Gorumara National Park is famous for its rich variety of flora & fauna. The park is located in the Malbazar subdivision of Jalpaiguri district, in the state of West Bengal in India. The Murti, Jaldhaka, and Indong rivers flow through the Park on the foothills of the Himalayan ranges in the North making the whole region picturesque. The park offers breathtaking landscape with its rivers and mountain ranges. Lataguri a small town adjacent to the park is the entry point.
